Does anyone know where I can get a sliding die holder that fits the tailstock of my Sherline lathe?

Well, I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but if you can find out what the taper for the spindle on the tailstock is, that would be a good place to start googling. I.e. "r8 taper die holder" or whatever...

Thanks for the replies!
It has to be a MT0 taper.
Sherine does not make it, only the standard die holder.

I believe its called a spindle die holder in English.

Sherline sells MT0 blanks for not much money. You could machine a die holder that slides onto that, maybe drill a clearance hole in the MT0 blank. If you use round dies, you could do all the machining on the lathe and just drill and tap a couple of holes for set screws to lock in the dies. Maybe knurl the body of the die holder and add a couple more tapped holes for handles.

Thank you! have not located one with an MT0 fit but I think I can have one adapted.

I dont really know exactly what you’re trying to hold but search M10 lathe chuck on ebay theres lots of chucks and collet holders for very little money on ebay. Maybe theres something to work for you there

Yesterday a friend of mine came to the shop and, being an experienced machinist, has helped me with most of my lathe issues, including this one. Thanks for your help folks!
