Slow opening knives

I recently treat myself to two of the new Kershaw Damascus blades the scallion and the leek. I got both of them on eBay. They are beautiful knives the pic I have seen online really don’t do them justice. But I have notice something about both of them. The blades seem to open kind of slow. I have never had this had with any of the A/O Kershaw I have. I play around with the leek I took it apart to see if the blade was clean. I polished the boasters inside the knife and of course I loosen it. But no change even with some lubricate. I try taking scallion but the pivot screw just the back turn of the knife. So I can't take it apart. So I can really use some advice. Because most of y’all guys are far wiser then I am.

i usually find with kershaw's smaller knives (but more often just the frame lock sppedsafe models) that there is a break-in period. doesn't matter how much you help the knife along, just needs to be flipped a couple hundred times (shouldn't take too long).

sit with a book or in front of the TV for an hour and just flip it. you should notice a strong improvement towards the end of the show :)

When I got my Kershaw Chive it was hard to get it into locking position but after a while, it works like a charm.
