Slysz Bowie discontinued!!

This has me bummed cuz I love this knife. Anyone heard if there's a slysz colab that's gonna replace it! Guess I've gotta pony up for another one so I have an insurance slysz. What ya'll think. Excited for another possible slysz colab, or bummed because it's gonna be gone? I'm torn.... god I hope they're gonna release the slysz swayback in '18.
 
A seriously awesome knife. I would not think it's a slow seller. But then again it's not a flipper or on bearings.

Really expensive knife for most to obtain tho. I wonder if they are replacing it with something equally as good?
 
Definitely a sad day. This is my favorite knife. I hope they are replacing it with the Slysz Swayback :)
 
So... time to get a spare one? Anyway, what an awesome project:

This is unfortunate. I’m trying to save for a grail. Every time I start making progress, something pops up and I have to start over.

I’ve had this in my cart many times, but never able to pull the trigger. I think I may have to sell a few off to make room—words I never thought I’d say.
 
would much rather have seen the chef go. To me personally, i have my slysz bowie and it's not going anywhere. so, if anything this gives me hope that there will be a new slysz spyderco in the near future!
 
Have to go put mine in my pocket now, carried a C22 CF Walker at work today so time to swap it out for something a bit bigger :D

I feel like that's the story of this model in a nutshell. Everyone wants it and loves the design (I wish every knife came with a rounded spine like that!), but the price kept too many people from biting.

That was certainly the case for me. Kind of never able to justify the expense. That has changed now. Having one inbound. Hope it lives up to expectations.
 
All this sentimental stuff is great... When do we see some discounts? ;) I almost bought one last weekend too. :eek:
 
It’s an awesome design. The price is high but so is the level of craftsmanship. I wanted to buy one the moment I first laid hands on it but the blade profile was just a little off for most of my uses.

Blade shape is the only thing I don't like on it. Put a GB2 shaped blade in there and it would be perfect.
