Hi all,

I'm hoping someone with the capabilities to anodize aluminum can help me out. I have 6-8 small round aluminum disks I'd like to have anodized. They're 0.75" in diameter and 0.25" thick.

Would someone be willing to anodize them for me? I would pay you of course. No dying required, just anodized and sealed to prevent electrical conductivity.

If anyone know of a shop that would tackle a small batch, please let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for the link. I'll check it out. Might be cheaper to just buy the stuff and DIY than have a shop do it.

Just to let you know doing anno that way wil NOT give you the same effect as the professional machines will its much thinner and far softer if you want it done go beg the guys at a local shop to do it they may just toss it in and you may not have a option if you want it colored or not

I think bryce makes a good point. The difference between a good HA (Type III) and a homebrew jobbie is going to be significant. I have no idea how durable a standard anodize job is, but I'll soon find out.

Thanks to the tip from jdaniels, I got in touch with a guy who anodizes paintball parts. He's willing to help me out, and the cost is 1/3 of what I was quoted from any pro plating shop.

The good expensive stuff still scratches. In the end do you want to scratch a $100 piece or a $35 piece. I know what my answer would be. Any way i just put that out there I thought it was an interesting article. glad i could be of some help.
