..that looked like miniature bigfoot? Anybody remember those?

What was the brand name? Anything similar made today? Anybody have a link to those really cool Saturday morning commercials with them running over obstacles and stuff?? :)

Thanks

I do remember those. Ran off of AA batteries, big rubber tires, and a plastic flexible track with obstacles. Dang if I can remember the name though... :(

Is anyone else the correct age to remember these?

Before StarWars, before Transformers, there were these,
Micronauts

And before Micronauts, there was the real GI Joe!

And before GI Joe, kids played with rocks and sticks. :D

i remember them, i had a bunch of micronauts.

and all my star wars toys are still in my mother's garage.

I didn't have many Micronauts, and they're pretty busted up, but I still have the pieces. The StarWars toys are filling a steamer trunk. GI Joe stuff must still be at Mom's. :)

I love stompers as a kid. I also had the big "Stomper Bully" which had low/hi range and selectable 4x4, I believe it ran on 4 D batteries. Also had the "animal" which had claws that came out of the tires. Good Times.

I remember the Stompers. My brother and I loved them. After reading this, I am going to have to climb in the attic and check if I still have mine. I have boxes of all my childhood toys. I still have my GI Joes and Star Wars stuff and I am pretty sure I still have my Stompers!!

In fourth and fifth grade, we used to race those "Stomper 4X4's" at recess.
I had a few Micronauts as well, although I was a devotee of Star Wars during my childhood.

Aw man, Stompers! Those things were awesome! I remember one of the best parts for me, was that the headlights lit up :)

When I was a kid I had tons of Stompers. My moms Boyfriend at the time used to go to a bar/grill that had Stomper weight pulls set up on the pool tables every Thursday. We tricked ours out with tiny train engines that ran off D/C train power packs. We even made metal gears instead of the little white plastics ones with Dually tires. There where grown men that where crazy competitors. Man good times.
