I posted this bf ,but what was recomended ,was far bigger than what i need ,i need somthing the size of a Keshaw Shuffel but with a much harder quality blade . 3 3.5 Inches closed ,hate when a big blade is jaming me n the side and pullin my pants down w weight . I have big fixed blades for that. Is there anything like this out there hoping not to have to take out a mortgage either . $100 or less.

What do you mean by "hard blade"?

Buck 112LT?

I think the 112 Slim Pro has an S30V blade, but I don't know what they cost.

Whats your budget? Cant go wrong with the dragonfly. I would also suggest the Fox knives vox suru or vox core. Or the MKM Voxnaes Isonzo in N690 little easier on the wallet and N690 is supposedly a step above VG10. If you dont mind a little longer than a shuffle but still very lightweight I would def check out the Manly wasp in S90V. Its crazy thin behind the edge with great heat treat so it slices like a dream for a very long time.

By harder do you mean holds an edge longer, or something else? Do you have a lock preference? Wasp is good but a slipjoint

Knifecenter has just rereleased their pakkawood hap40 line, but the dfly is $133. They have the ZDP-189 model for $88 which fits your budget. I've always called it "the little knife that could" lol. It really is though. I wish they made the ZDP model with the wharnecliffe.

Now that you've updated your requirements I'm going to join the "go buy a Dragonfly in ZDP-189" team and suggest you just do that. It's a great little knife that punches above it's weight.

I much, much prefer the Cold Steel Tuff Lite, but that knife wouldn't meet your steel requirements. Luckily for me, I have no such steel requirements so I can happily cut for hours on end with my altogether superior Tuff Lite, with its plastic handle and AUS-8A blade.

If you are fine with slipjoint the manly Wasp in 14c28 is really great for the price

Dragonfly is great too and it is available in many steel options

Though the Wasp is a slipjoint, I find mine to be very secure when open. Plus the 4 stop positions should make it safer than most slipjoints in use. If you need a locking knife, a Spyderco Chaparral Lightweight would be my suggestion. I have one with Raffir Noble scales and I'll be danged if that isn't one of my most comfortable knives in hand or in pocket. Some math indicates the knife is roughly 3.6" closed.

Hard to beat the Manly Wasp. Mine is 12C27, HRC 60, holds a great edge, easy to hone to scary sharp. I like the four-position stop, too.

I carry a benchmade proper as my small knife when I dont want to carry a nicer slipjoint. S30v is pretty easy to maintain amd holds a decent edge too for anything I've put it through. The micarta is nice and grippy and it locks open pretty solid.

The ultimate hard blade that won't pull your pants down is a Spyderco Native 5 Lightweight, with Maxamet blade.
But it cost a little more than you stated.

I’m not sure what you mean by a “hard” blade. The Dragonfly is a good choice and so is the Spyderco Lil Native. It is small but still fills the hand. Spyderco runs their S30v a little harder than other companies.
