Any idea who made this? It's 13.5 inches long with a head measuring ~5.25 by 3 inches. The eye is just over 1.75 inches. Has an old oval sticker over the blue paint. The eye has been epoxied.

I'm betting it says Sweden or Made Sweden under the sticker.
Probably by wetterlings, and made for mass export to North America ( I believe these are most common in Canada )

Yup. I removed the rest of the sticker and hit it with mineral oil and fine steel wool to remove the grit and there is still nothing visible. Thanks guys
Hmm, well then I don't know.
Any of the likely suspects for this blue on the head always used some kind of stamp.
It looks well formed so I guess all you can really do is use it and see of it happens to be a good tool.

Aside from the color and perhaps the size/weight it looks similar to my Sandvik Camper 1 1/4 hatchet
FWIW

Steve,

The sticker on the top picture you posted really does look like the one on the OPs hatchet. I'm pretty sure that I can read the H in his stamp.

I have a wetterlings hatchet that my dad gave me when I was probably 5 or 6. My first axe :) It was old when he gave it to me in the early 1980s.

It also measures 5.25" x 3", but doesn't appear exactly similar to the OPs hatchet, and I'm pretty sure that my hatchet never had that epoxy in the eye.
