Small pouch for a 16oz Nalgene

Good evening guys and gals :)

Right now I am preparing my equipment for the upcoming season and found a super cheap 16oz Nalgene bottle at a local store which I just "had" to buy ;)

Most of my stuff is ready to go so I am just doing some minor modifications right now...

For camping trips and longer hikes I got my Camelbak and some normal 32oz Nalgenes at hand so this little brother is meant to be with me when I am off the camp in combination with a small PSK which is attached to my awesome ESEE / RAT 4.

What I am looking for is a pouch that I can attach to my belt or has some MOLLE-system so I can weave it on a dropdown leg plate-system that I am currently working on(might be totally impractical tho, we'll see :D). I know Maxpedition is doing a great bottle holder for the 32oz version so I keep my fingers crossed that there is something for the smaller one as well ;)

Here is some data on the small Nalgene that I messured:

diameter of the bottle: 2,7 inch
height of the bottle: 6,8 inch

If you got any ideas or experiences with pouches like that, feel free to help me out :D

Look at Outdoor Research. They offer a zip-pouch made for your bottle.

I'll have a look at OR-products, thanks :)

I forgot to add that the pouch doesnt need to be designated nalgene bottle holder. For example there might be a mag, GPS or grenade pouch that has the perfect size to hold the small Nalgene ;) Don't hesitate to show them :D

well its not "ultra light" but how about a parcord "koozie" of sorts, I made one for a full size thats a bit over the top, but you can make a smaller, looser one. google paracord koozie and the first few listings will be great tutorials from Stormdrane and one on instructables.

@paracordist: Nice work, might be something I'll try when I got some paracord laying around and a week off work :D Seems to be no easy project for one who is new to paracord weaving :)

Maxpedition 10x4 water bottle holder is exactly what your looking for

According to their page, the 10x4 was deisgned to hold the 1l Nalgene, so its small brother will be kind of lost in there ;)

Maxpedition mini Rolly Poly

I might give that one a try, although its meant to hold a 32oz/1litre Nalgene bottle... The small one might be a bit "lost" in there :D

Really seems like there's no pocket known to you guys out there that was designed to carry just a small Nalgene bottle

The Tactical Tailor molle item (http://www.tacticaltailor.com/akm16magpouch.aspx) item works perfectly for the 16 oz Nalgene, and even though I carry two 32 oz. on my LBE plus the bladders in the ruck, I always keep a 16oz. in one of these mag pouches mounted on my chest mag rack (the mags are in the rack, not mounted pouches) along with a double pistol mag pouch in case the last thing I am wearing is the chest rack and nothing else when SHTF. The last things you want to be without are ammo and a little H2O to keep you going!
