Smallest Case pocket knife?....

I was trying to find out which pattern is the smallest that they have ever made. As I am doing the collecting thing with traditional pocket knives, I was considering adding the smallest of Case knives. I see that their Tiny Trapper may be their smallest currently, has there ever been a smaller pattern than that in their history? Thanks for any info you may be able to share :-)

I think that little Blackhorn thing you see at the big hardeware stores by the register is it. It's around 3" closed. They just started doing them with Carbon Fiber scales which might make them a little more collectable but 3 times the price. I'll bet it's a neck to neck race between that and the tiny toothpick.

While doing a search on google, I ran across this tiny trapper picture. It is dessribed as having dark molasses barn board jigged bone. It caught my eye... my even liking the shield, which of course is glued in as all standard case knives have, ugh! So thus far, it seems the Tiny Trapper is their smallest. I may start with this one, then maybe add other itty bittys as time goes on (like their small toothpick and peanut). Why small knives look cool to me, I don't know.... but they do :-)

This Case 63033 penknife is 2-5/8" OAL; it's the shortest I own, but I don't know if it is the shortest Case has ever built. OH

I think the tiny trapper is smallest at 2 3/8" next would be the tadpole at 2 1/2"

With you guys showing more pics of smallish knives.... it gave me an idea for my next display. Thinking maybe I'll load a display with nothing but tiny knives. They won't all be case, but likely I'll want them to all be American made. I won't rush it, just one here, one there.... and since they are small, it will take quite a while to fill one of my typical display/shadow boxes. Thanks again for sharing the pics... looks like I just developed a game plan :-)

I'll champion Case's Baby Butterbean. As small as it is it's a bit larger than the Boker pen I was carrying. Even though a bit larger, I moved to it as an EDC because of my preference for a spearpoint main blade.

That baby butterbean looks totally cool, imo :-) It does look like my case canoe... basically the same look, but smaller. Hmm, I wonder how they came up with the butterbean name, instead of just baby canoe or something?

Thanks for the source John.

Forgot about the Tiny Muskrat, that, the Peanut & Baby Butterbean seem to have the smallest dimensions apart from the lockback I hadn't heard of.

If the OP is toying with the idea of a Small Knife Display, then remember to include the Buck 309, it's a mighty mite:thumbup:
