What is the smallest current folding Benchmade non auto knife? I know that they do make a CA legal auto with a blade under 2" long but I am looking for a standard folder, preferably with an axis lock.

Mini-grip is under 3" and quite a small package. I wear mine in my watch pocket of my Levis.

The smallest BM that I have got is 480-1 Shoki with 2.89" blade. But it is not the smallest: BM 482 Megumi has got 2.48". I guess it might be the smallest. But it does not have Axis - it is not bit enough for it.

P.S. Look for HD Levitator or BM Benchmite: I think they have got 2.0" blades.

I made the Axis mouse to be utilized as a travel knife.
Wanting to carry an Axis lock knife with when traveling and not knowing the local laws, had me a little worried.
I was afraid I would end up getting one of my favorite knives confiscated by a LEO.
So, the Axis mouse fits the bill.

The Aphid was discontinued.

The next shortest blades in production would be the 482, 480 , 483, 585, 707, 470, 755, 525, 527. All with sub 3" blades.

482 is listed at 2.48

Did you start with a production knife or did you start from scratch? That little guy is awesome!

The picture posed below is really a before and after pic.
The top knife is what the bottom knife looked like before modifications.
I pretty much cut the knife in half.

As I mentioned in another new thread I found a web dealer with some Aphids still shown as in stock so I ordered one, the standard 340.

I had my Mini Grip chopped for the same reason. Handle is still unmodified though.
