Smallest EDC scissors?

We all are aware of the small pliers and plier-like tools available via such pocket multitools or minimultitools as SAK, SOG CrossGrip, Swiss-Tech, and SeberTech. We all have our favorites.

But what about small scissors?

The smallest minimultitool I know of that is built around a pair of scissors is the Leatherman Micra. One of the smallest scissors I've used is on my Victorinox Midnite MiniChamp II.

Anyone else carry small scissors every day?

I use the ones on my Victorinox classic very often. I have larger knives on me every day, but the little classic is handy as heck. In fact it's a rare day I don't use the classic for something.

I don´t carry them but I have a pair of scissors made from an old Wenger SAK, just the scissors and spring pinned between two liners, they are very flat, like a one spring SAK without handle scales.

I carry a Victorinox Rambler on my keychain which has scissors, probably the same size as the ones on their Classic. I'm with jackknife, though these knives (and their scissors) are small in size I get a fair amount of use out of them.

These work very well.

You mentioned these in a thread just before Christmas, and I ordered a couple of pairs to check them out. They are larger and sturdier than I thought they would be and have a nice quality feel to them. The only complaint I have is that the tips are a bit rounded, which makes them less useful for very detailed cutting like trimming a hangnail. They seem well worth the minimal price.

Yes, I think that they are the same size. I prefer the Rambler over the Classic too, due to the small phillips screwdriver.

I carry a LM Squirt S4 most often, because it can cut tougher materials well. But I guess that's not what cardimon asked... :footinmou :)

There is a very tiny set of scissors on the new Gerber nail clipper. Just used it today in fact.

I will also add that the Slip-n-Snip folds up and carries nicely. It has absolutely no sharp points pr corners when folded so the wear on your pocket will be neglegable.

They have needle point models too. Mine are standard tips but the needle tips are on their website.

I have a pair very similar to those dovo's, complete with leather pouch and all. very beautifully made. i purchased from a store called stoddards around boston but i've also seen them on a.g. russells site. I can't seem to find them right now. There's also the sog crosscut. These are on his site. They also look very cool. i've been thinking about picking some up.

You are correct. I missed that model. The place that I bought mine from only had the sportsman's model.

My EDC includes a Micra and a SAK mountaineer, both of which have scissors.

I have to admit, if I actually need to use the scissors I will use the ones on the SAK, I find they cut better than the micra.

I only carry the micra as a sheeple friendly backup (yes, here in the UK I sometimes get negative comments when I pull out a SAK... )

Ryan, seeing that pair of folding scissors brings back memories. It also made me dig in the closet to find my very similar scissors. The pair I have was bought in 1989 when my father went overseas. He said he bought it in a normal department store(probably was pretty cheap too!).
It is made my a company called Spear Brand in china. I was actually able to find some info about them.
here's the company info : http://www.alibaba.com/trade/company/goto/10094839.html
and here's their website: http://www.spearscissors.com/company.asp

But it doesn't look like they still make the same pair of folders I have, so here is a pic.

IT has a really small knife, a bottle opener, and a flat head screwdriver. This type of scissors have never worked really well, but when you need them in a pinch, they have always worked great.

I recently bought a Gerber solstice. They seem to be a pretty good mini tool, with some of the best scissors I've used in such a small tool. The gerber also has a few other tools on it as well, and you can close it to fit on a keyring. The only thing I don't really like is the way it has to be closed, quite difficult as you have to hold the scissors closed while you pivot the 'arms' closed. Once you get one 'arm' in position the scissors stay closed tight.

here's a few comparitive pics:
you can see they are about the same size folded.

and the scissors are about the same size.

The gerber is pretty heavy for something so small though, hopefully they will hold up.
Yeah I know too many pics!
but if you are looking solely for a pair of folding snips , at a cheap rice too, than I 'd suggest the gerbers. They cut really really well!
