I've had a cs mini-pal, spyderco ladybug, vic classic, and gerber mini lst. I am looking for a "smaller" quality knife than these. -I thought a vic classic sized blade in a handle that just is enough to hold it would be great. Any ideas? Thanks.

Check out the Al Mar Osprey. It's a stout knife in a tiny package (1.6 inch blade). My wife loves hers.

I have had a schrade LB 1 for almost 20 yrs now. She has served and continues to serve me well. Check one out, It looks like a buck 110 micro sized. The original was made here (USA).

Opinel make a keyring out of their smallest blade, the #2. The blade is 3.5cm (ie. just over 1.3 inches) and the handle about the same, and it feels really tiny though probably still useable. When I handled it I got the impression that anything smaller would not be at all useable. It also comes as a standard folder without the keychain.

Benchmite?

AG Russell Titanium lock-back folder or ultimate pen knife? Edit; Maybe the Titanium folder does not have a hole for a key chain but the pen knife does.

I have a couple of the A.G. Russell ultimate pen knives...They are are very small.
I have one on my key chain and like it a lot. It is extremely light. VG-10 blade with a titanium handle. Initially I thought it felt cheap because of the weight and small size. It proved to be the opposite. Obviously a knife this small isn't suited to heavy cutting tasks..but after a quick touch up on the Sharp Maker, it
tears through thicker blister packaging with no problems.

If you can find one of the old Spyderco Mini Police Titanium necklace knives, those are about as small as you can get with a blade less than 1 inch. The blade is ATS-34, and is a lock-back, plus, it's serrated, and cuts VERY well:eek:. They are pretty hard to find, though. I got mine about 5 years ago for $50 on Ebay. They go a bit higher nowadays.

The A. G. Russell pen knives are great.

I've seen a Chive on a keychain before. A little bigger than some, but still quite small.

Mini police necklace and the mini police key chain come to mind thats for sure. They are in stock and not that hard to find actually. One goes for $79 the other goes for $99.

Hi david, I use to have the same knife as an Edc. Mine is the titanium handle version, 154 cm steel, terribly sharpy. The one in Your's pics look the same. I have been complaining a while with the locking sistem when it was new because I did not like the needs of to hands for opening: as soon as I realized you can do as well with a single hand, single snap: great.

A second on the SOG Micron.. 1.5" blade. Very small, thin and easy to carry on keychain:

plus...under 12 bucks!

All great ideas. I think the AG Russell pen knife is gonna be it based on price and materials. The spyderco necklace and al mar both look good, but a bit pricey. The sog looks decent too. -To add to the conversation, I've also tried a swiss-tech utili-key, and LM squirt-p4. I lost the squirt, but it's nice, yet heafty. I don't personally care for the utili-key. Thanks again.

Where can I find them for that price, Spyderco doesn't show them in their catalog, and as for price I routinely see them sell on ebay for over $100, if ya gotta stash or secret source please share.:)

That first one looks like a ladybug-2 (maybe a jester?), powernoodle. (Not a cricket..?) I finally managed to replace my big fenix p-1 with a l0d-q4, which is similar in size to the arc I think. My goal is for the light to be the biggest and most expensive thing on my keys at this point. The ladybug-3 would be my choice, if I had a smaller or no light. The ladybug3 feels impressively bigger than it is. I had a photon freedom microlight for a while and I consider it a good alternative if you need a smaller, yet still usable light. I lost it, with a LM squirt and the rest of my keys (damn). A comparison pic between a ladybug and the agrussell ultimate pen knife would be awesome if anyone has both. Thanks.

Sorry to hear you lost your LM Squirt. I have a Ladybug as a Keychain Knife.

Here's a Kydex Sheath I custom molded for a LM Micra so that my Wife could have a Keychain Knife (but she uses the other Tools on the Micra just as much);

This way she can pull out the Tool (tug on the Lanyard) and use it without having to work around Keys.
