Smallest pressurized pen refill?

Recently bought a BigIdeaDesigns Mini Bolt Action pen and the only pressurize pen refills I can find are the standard 3.5inches. I need a refill that is closer to 2.625inches. This is for EDC fun, so no justification needed really, but......... I have a tendency to get my pens dirty or write while eating and the pen stops working because I've gotten grease or some sort of crud on the tip. And that's just for the pens I use at home. Given this is an EDC pen, the likelihood of me hindering the ink cartridge is sky high. Never had an issue with a pressurize ink cartridge. In fact, I've used one of these cartridges for backpacking for literally over a decade with no issue. Not that I write a ton out there, but I take light notes and never bring a backup pen.

The "Questions" section on the BigiDesigns website states that the Mini Bolt Action pen takes the Fisher UF series refills. You want U1F, U2F, or U4F depending on the ink color you want. They are sold with added sections like the refill on top. You break off 2 sections to get the size you need.

I've never seen those before or even imagined something like it, that's pretty cool.
It almost makes me want to buy a pen that uses them, but I really like my Fisher bullets too much to bother trying anything else.

I haven't tried the UF cartridges either but I probably wouldn't like them. According to Fisher, they only write about 1200 feet and then run out of ink as opposed to the standard Fisher cartridges that write about 12,000 feet. Based on my experience using the standard cartridges, one UF cartridge would last me about 2 1/2 weeks. That might drive me nuts because 2 1/2 weeks go by pretty fast. I get about 6 months out of the standard ones.

The UF cartridges would be suitable for a backup pen or a pen that only gets used occasionally but I don't think I would like them for a daily writer.

I hate seeing stuff like this. Right in front of me and I still missed it. Thank you.

Wait, but are you using a mini-pen requiring a mini-cartridge?

No. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I don't own any pens that take the UF refills. My daily writer is this Boker that I've been using for 8+ years now. It takes the standard Fisher refills. I refrained from recommending it in your other thread for a couple of reasons.

1. I've already recommended it in several threads and I think folks might be tired of seeing that.
2. The cartridge does rattle a bit which you said you didn't want.

I have the Mini Click by the same company and got the refill mentioned by Railsplitter. The pens use a D1 refill, and the smallest section, with both breakaway sections broken away is D1 size.

D1 tubes obviously don't hold a lot of ink, and the UF refills aren't very cheap considering that. Don't buy one, buy a few or several in whatever package deal you can find that knocks the price per refill down some.

I was digging through some old bookmarks and I found another pressurized D1 style, Tombow Outdoor BR-VMP. Make sure you search for that specifically, as they also make non-pressurized D1 refills (BR-VS). Might be cheaper than going the Fisher route. I can't speak for their quality though, and I can only find blue ink.
