Smallest Spyderco you would carry in your pocket?

Been a bit since I posted. I work in a warehouse and knives are essential to our jobs. We got a new safety director, and he is cracking down on knives, especially ones that look "tactical" like pocket clipped knives. I am looking for a small folder that can be dropped in my pocket. I have been out of touch with what is out there. I welcome suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

I love the Jester (idk if the company who has the exclusive is a BF supporter, so you'll have to Google it). It's itty bitty but seriously does more than a sub-2" blade should. I EDC bigger blades, but when I go somewhere that I need something smaller I have really enjoyed using it. Sorry work is ruining the finer things in life for you.

Just curious...

How are knives "essential" to your job? What do you folks use them for? And how can the new safety director crack down on them? What does he think is going to happen? Any instance where someone injured themselves, but that injury would not have happened with a safety-director-approved knife? Frankly, he sounds like an a-hole of the highest order.

How about a Dragonfly wharny? Too tactical???

How about a Spyderco Chicago? If not something like that you may have to go to a stockman knife. That's the typical pocketknife that won't freak out sheeples. I carried one for decades.

I have a bunch of smaller conventional Spyderco folders that I have never carried because I bought them all as "collector" items, which include the:

Centofante 3
Des Horn
Hanan
Herbst
Ikuchi
Kiwi
Merlin
Para 3
Pattadese
Perrin PPT (Satin & Black)
Persistance
Positron
Terruzola Slip-it
Viele
Watu
Zowada
Zulu

The smallest conventional Spyderco folders that I've ever carried are the PITS and a Native 2 PE and 3 PE (which are both "users" and 2 out of 12 Gen 1-5 Native variations that I currently own). There's also the SmallFly but it's a bali and not a standard folder.

On the other hand, there are several short bladed (less than 3") Spyderco SD folders that I have often carried (just for the fun of it) including the:

Introvert
Gunting
Jot Singh Khalsa
Karahawk (Satin & Black)
P'kal

I think that about covers it. LOL! ;)

PS: FWIW, the folders that I typically carry have blades measuring 3 5/8- 4" long & I've previously sold a variety of very small folders, like the Kiwi and Kopa that I originally purchased as "curiosities" that I knew that I'd never use or carry for any reason.

I am a big fan of the dragonfly and chaparral. The "paperclip" pocketclip is less intimidating and they are highly practical, but what you have to figure out what can fly below the radar. The dragonfly is a bit small for many things that I would consider, "warehouse tasks". It can do them, but why.

I second 3fifty7's thought. They should be issuing box cutters that are reasonable. To be honest, the locking utility knives aren't that bad.

Chapparal 100%. My Dragonfly Spydies never seem to make it in the pocket vs the Chapparal.

I like the Ladybug SE hawkbill with a fob. No clip by design, great ergos, the fob gives me a full grip (size L gloves), and the hawkbill cuts like a tiny demon.

a manbug is always in my pocket as well as a larger spyderco

gets the most use as well

I never leave the house without a Ladybug/Jester, in my pocket.

I work construction and use it a ton! It's also the knife I throw at someone, when they ask to use a knife.
Everyone of them, just looks at me funny, like I'm joking..
6 of my coworkers, now carry a Ladybug. (All are in FFG or Jester and a upgraded steel) Lol..

A friend of mine carried a Hawkbill Ladybug, working for FedEx. (They aren't allowed to carry, at all)
My old mail man, carried a Dogtag, to conceal that he was carrying. (They aren't allowed at all)

LW Chaparral or Dragonfly, would be the next in line, as a choice.

I'm in warehousing too. Knives are essential to cut carboard, straps, and shrink wrap. And cracking down on them involves people with too much power and too much time walking around trying to assert their dominance. I've worked in several warehouses and the ones who allowed pocket knife use over utility blades all had lower instances of cuts. Regardless of the reasoning, prohibiting pocket knife use seems to do nothing to increase safety. Edit; and among all the warehouses I've worked for, I've worked around 10,000 people over 15 years and not a single instance of a knife fight.

Military.

Joking aside! Delica is the smallest I'm willing to go with.
Color me embarrassed - I somehow forgot that I have a Delica. Admittedly, I don't pocket it often; and I'm not sure why because I like it. (I've probably lost the clip, or at least the screws; but hopefully they're in the baggie with the scales)
