it was a LE, so it won't be back.
I just paid 300.00 total to my door today for one.
Thought was fair price since I wanted it.
 
I don't think they will be made again they were the LEs of the Game Wardens.

In my opinion they are worth more than any other GW even Green Linen. Green L's may be harder to find but they don't have the same long term attraction (to me) as a Snake. Kind of like a great looking blond (snake) vs. an average red head(green). The second may be harder to find but what what would you want to take home?

Search the exchange for value, other's opinions may be different.

I would not sell one of my Snake LEs for $400.

Funny thing is that the Game Warden "thing" didn't hit right away and you could have sat there and bought 20 LEs at your leisure and no one would have cared. It seems that everyone thought that “hell it is just a little knife…. who cares” It wasn't until after the tan and blacks that all of a sudden if you bought more than two you were some kind of jerk, and there was a movement among guys that didn't have one to make it a constructional right to be able to buy one.

I recall sitting there adding two more LEs deleting two more then adding two more deleting two etc etc.... deciding if I wanted 27 or 29 :p and I had hours to do that.

Now whoever designed the GW… I’d keep him in deep clover for a long time.
 
Dang Tony, I got one for 300 on the exchange last week also.
I was getting kinda worried about having 600. in 2 snakeskins.
I feel a lot better now, I've read your threads and respect your opinions.

I thought the Fried would be my favorite... but when i got one.. i could not bring my self to use it. Too pretty! That kinda irked me... I know the 'scale' is etched and not fragile, but i am illogically worried that if i use it, id loose the scales...

Then the Hunter Orange came out... maybe less rare and cheaper to make, but i love that more as the orange has a sentimental thing for me... and i can use it... WIth the Satin,... I will stick anything, work on anything... No Fear. That has me leaning to the HO for cool factor, and the standard black (tie) model for use and urban carry... Simple, stout, effective, and beautiful. No doubt the fried fish will continue to appreciate and may hit the highest prices,... but give me an orange or black tie anyday... (keeping one fish for posterity,... but keeping 2 HO and BT, one for user, one for back up user...). Maybe my son (if it turns out to be a boy) will grow up to use the Fish Scale Warden that i can't bring my self to use...

In San Francisco it is Zushi-Puzzle on Lombard that is very good (and there are some I don't know)

But in a class by itself, in Sausalito, Sushi Ran :thumbup:

They're worth around half a million dollars.
 
Seems like the Game Warden scramble (sounds like breakfast at IHOP) started when the SMOGs were announced IIRC.

As I recover more brain cells after the New Year it is all coming back to me.

There was a lag between Tan & Black and by the time the Tans ended and the Blacks came out there was a lot of anticipation built up. I think the order of release was LE, Tan, Black, Green, SMOG and the greens went so fast I never even saw them flash on the Company Store page. So I'd say that the scramble started before the SMOG. If I had to give a time it would be after or very late in the time the Tans were released and definitely while the Blacks were out.
 
When the snakeskin LE's came out, GW's were just another Busse knife.

Then everyone got on this "collect the whole set thing" and they took off.

I think I'll start marketing a book to put them in like the state quarters.:D
