To clarify. I am not exactly sure which wood this is. It is a very dark brown, and looks black in most light. But it doesn't have the same look as blackwood examples I have in other GEC knives. So Ebony seems most likely.

FYI to all concerned: according to the GEC website they didn't make any of that run in ebony, but they did in African Blackwood.

Thanks Black Mamba. That is confusing, since it doesn't really look like later blackwood knives I have. But there it is.
