First the Machete - and the first machete!
This machete is the first "big blade" I ever made. It has been with me for three years now, and after some testing and refinements, it is time to let it go. It performs very well as a chopper, though I don't recommend it for trail clearing, light brush or martial practice because it has a pretty hefty follow through, and you could be in for some forearm and elbow strain if you try to a lot of do "broken strikes" with it. Better to have something to chop into rather than have to put the breaks on it by muscle power.
And of course being carbon steel, it is recommended to keep this one oiled, and store it in a dry place.
Specs
~1080 Sawmill blade steel
1/8" thick
Length: 19 1/2" overall, 12 1/2" blade, ~2" wide
Grind: Full height convex, about .020" behind the edge
Weight: 17.9 oz
Handle: Camo canvas micarta outer layer, oak middle layer, Kydex liners, with brass and aluminum pins
Sheath: Black Kydex
This knife chops with authority, without shocking the hand.
Asking SOLD

Next, the Karambit
This is my fourth build of the "partial tang karambit", and while the others received praise from their owners, I wanted to give this one slightly thicker scales for a more palm filling handle, and I like how it came out. With the size and shape of the handle and the angle of the blade, it feels very secure in the hand for both forward and reverse grip, and cuts keenly.
This one also being carbon steel, it should be kept oiled, and stored in a dry location.
Specs
~1080 Sawmill blade steel
1/8" thick
Length: 7" overall
3" blade
Grind: Full height convex, about .015" behind the edge
Weight: 4.7 oz
Handle: OD green canvas micarta outer layer, black G10 liners, Kydex liners, natural canvas micarta for the ring, and carbon fiber tubes.
Sheath: Black Kydex
Asking SOLD
