Kamimura founded his forge "as solace after experiencing the tremendous tragedy of his mother's suicide in 2016...he's been through the fire and emerged as a budding icon in the custom knife industry." Kamimura is a Forged in Fire winner and champion. This Tanto was personally chosen by me from Neil Kamimura's web site in April 2021. I purchased two Kamimura knives and am only keeping one in my collection. I paid Neil Kamimura $2600 plus $100 for shipping for the Tanto. Price of $2850 allows me to recoup my costs after PayPal's fees and insured shipping to you. Payment must be made through PayPal only to protect both buyer and seller. This Tanto has never been used. The blade is unbelievably beautiful. The only modification that has been made is conditioning of the leather wrap with Axe Wax and Obenauf's Leather Preservative to smooth out the rough leather and condition it. The leather remains rough in spots and prone to show scratches and dust. Brass and copper have an antique look with some scratches that are not visible in the photos. This one-of-a-kind custom Tanto is a stand out piece. It will enhance any high-end knife or sword collection. It is extremely difficult to purchase a Kamimura knife since a very small number are offered for sale to the general public. Over 23,000 likes on Kamimura’s Instagram.
