G'day, I mentioned in previous post I had a Scrimshaw set that had previously been owned by late Alabama Governor George Wallace and also a Schrade Cut Co owned by Brig General U.S. Army Roy E Blount.
The George Wallace set has floated in champagne? at one stage and I show the bottom of the box. I obtained the set from his former Aide who had been given the set by George Wallace when he was leaving his position.
Brig General Roy E Blount was involved in a controversial WW11 hearing on Saipan concerning another General....<you can google the story its very interesting>
I have also shown some other unique Schrades and Camillus <Streamline> which were protos from the Maurice Share Collection. These proto Streamlines are circa 1935/36.Stamped Streamline Syracuse N.Y. U.S.A. There are also 22 rare samples of the ill fated Imperial Mexico venture in the late 50's...Stamped Imperial Hecho en Mexico.
Scarce D Day set of Schrade LB5 commemoratives and Zippo Lighters.
Liberty Bell No1..<there is also Minute Man No8>......Russell Barlow Commemorative No1.
The fixed blades are all from the Wall display or factory sale...I have never seen another Imperial Fixed blade with the pommel nor the Schrade Walden 'Cutlass Crossguard' design from the factory sale...never proceeded with the idea?....
The unique Schrade Walden Golden Spike...the only one to surface to date..possibly the only one made...
The Gold Gentlemans knife with the original framed 'Fortune Magazine' advert from 1947. The Wallkill State Prison Anniversary KNife No 000 was used as photo knife I believe...came from the wall....
They are all going back into their shipping container now so thought I would do a small photo session for anyone interested......Hoo Roo

That is quite a show, Larry. Most of it is totally new to me. That variation of a 165 OT fixed blade is particularly interesting to me.

Fantastic pieces Larry, I like 'em all! The Wallkill prison is only about twenty minutes from me, never seen that particular knife though, very cool!
Eric

what a collection of neat examples,(wouldn't expect anything less!!). does the old timer fixed blade have a stamping? does the blade thickness taper down to the point? was it a prototype? tell us more--------------brady

G'day, for Brady and Cal that asked about the 162 1/2 OT!....from the factory clearance sale...is it a hybrid of 165OT or 160OT.....or was it intended to be a knife design on its own?....or.........& it is different from both the former on so many counts how could it be shaped from one of them...even the cross guard is different size...it is very sharp and the blade shape would make it ideal user in the field...the hybrid is in the centre in all photos.....you decide if its simply someone's illegitimate love child.....no OT collection can be considered complete without it!;) Hoo Roo from GoldTimer.

Just bringing up this thread I posted 3 1/2 years ago as I was about to re-photograph my Governor George Wallace originally owned 'Liberty' Scrimshaw to add to the Scrimshaw thread currently running....and I thought... Dang!.....why not show this thread of mine which contains some other truly unique Schrade/Imperials in addition to the 'George Wallace'......I enjoy digging out my photos more than digging out my knives to look at...Hoo Roo

thanks for bringing this up it is always fun to go back and see what has been posted before. one forgets much like a good book and rereading it again.

Thanks for sharing Larry, very cool, Schrade was the first real knife I bought when I started working a real job back in the mid 70s.

Re-birthed to stimulate further Forum discussions....and hopefully even more photos of your collections....Hoo Roo

Some unique Schrade Fixed Blade photos...some rarely seen..few from the Schrade factory Wall Collection....presented again..for collector interest Hoo Roo
