I have a perfect condition A100 Kit with 18-70mm lens up for trade. If nothing comes of it, then off to the sale forum. I recently upgraded and am looking to get this to a new home.

Busses preferred. Straight Handles have priority, also have a Garmin Nuvi 760 GPS if interested. Please let me know if you would like pictures.

The exceptional Alpha DSLR-A100 may be Sony's first digital SLR camera, but it builds on Minolta's long history of camera-making experience. It combines innovative Sony technology with a design that's based on Minolta's well-respected SLR models. The result is one of the finest values in digital cameras around. The 'A100 works with Sony's full line of precision standard and zoom lenses, plus it's backward-compatible with Minolta's popular A-type bayonet-mount autofocus models. If you're a photographer who already owns any of these fine lenses, or a digital camera enthusiast looking to step up to SLR flexibility, this camera's an excellent choice.

High-resolution 10.2-megapixel image sensor
For shooting and printing, the 'A100 has what it takes to deliver beautiful, accurate photographs. Sony's impressive 10.2-megapixel image sensor offers a top resolution that is more than sufficient for cropping out portions of a shot, blowing them up, and printing them at large sizes. The sensor also handles an extended range of ISO (film speed equivalent) sensitivity — that's ideal for accurate shooting in tricky conditions, especially indoor and low-light environments. Finally, the sensor's wide dynamic range combined with the speed of Sony's proprietary image processor permits faithful rendering of complex subjects, like sunny highlights on a subject with plenty of shadow.

In-camera image stabilization for sharp photos
To minimize unwanted blur caused by an unsteady hand, the 'A100 features built-in image stabilization technology. This unique Sony system physically shifts the position of the image sensor to compensate for camera shake, maintaining optimum picture sharpness. And because the system is built into the camera instead of the lens, you can take advantage of its benefits with any lens you use. The same technology that keeps your images blur-free also helps to keep them spotless. Every time you power off the camera, the sensor-shifting system vibrates to dislodge any dust particles that might have accumulated. Very cool.

Convenience and simplicity
Sony's gone to a lot of effort to ensure that the 'A100's advanced capabilities are easy to use, even for digital SLR novices. For starters, a handy autofocus feature begins focusing your picture as soon as you bring your eye to the viewfinder — no need to press down the shutter-release button halfway. The big, bright 2-1/2" LCD screen makes reviewing your images for critical details and reading camera menus a breeze. And there are lots of convenient modes and adjustments, ranging from exposure presets (for shooting portraits, night scenes, or landscapes), to fine tuning contrast, saturation, and sharpness levels.

Versatile SLR design
With the 'A100, you get the full manual control and focusing capabilities that SLRs are famous for. Plus, the comfortable rubberized hand grip and a well-balanced body make this cam easy to hold. The supplied precision Sony lens provides crisp pics and versatile shooting — you can capture everything from big group shots at close range to close-ups of your subjects at a distance. Handy dual-media capability lets you save images to your choice of optional Memory Stick® Duo or CompactFlash® memory cards (no memory included).
