Does anyone know the # spanner size I need for Strider SMF? I found #10 at hardware store but was way too small, and I don't want a $65 one. They cost like $3 online if I know which size to order.

Someone on here posted a picture of one he made out of an old flat blade screw driver and his dremel grinder. Seemed to have worked for him.

I used a bicycle chainring bolt wrench with a small amount of modification.ya know send me your address in a visitor message and I will send you one.Is your screen name your email?

Yes it is my email. There are spanner bit's for sale online for a few bucks but they just have sizes like 8, 10, 12,14, like torx bits. I can't seem to find any description of the measurement these sizes correspond to. I know a 10 is way too small because Carr hardware had some 10's. It needs to be 1cm across. I do have a pretty good array of tools, dremels grinders etc so I could make something but I thought I'd be able to get it cheap and easy.

I made mine out of a Park Tool chainring tool. It only took like 2 minutes with a dremel. I think it was like $5

If its the first time your taking the knife apart I would recommend heating the bull pivot up with either a soldering iron or boiling it. Striders have lock-tight on them.
