I'm a fan of the Spartan. Before I was a "knife guy," the Spartan was my EDC for almost fifteen years. My Spartan is still perfectly functional, but it has sentimental value to me now after all the years and I kind of want to retire it. The PS version has caught my eye, but no internet or forum search has yielded any answers to this question: how does the coating hold up?
My second question is: since it is a tool and made to be used, should I even care how the coating holds up? I guess the only reason I do is that I am paying a premium for it. Underneath that admittedly awesome looking PS coating, it's still a twenty dollar Spartan (I think you pay more for the coating than the knife).
