OK Guys, my leather wallet is about worn out and I'm going to buy a new one very soon. I have found a Victorinox Zip wallet that I really like and is about the size I am used to. However I really like the looks of the Spec-Ops T.H.E. Wallet and T.H.E. Wallet Jr. What I want to know are the relative thicknesses of each, I have found dimensions on their website but could not find the thickness, btw I am used to a wallet 0.75 in thick and the V-nox I am looking at is that thick also, just want to know about the Spec-Ops bc I have read several posts referring to them as bricks. Thanks

When empty, my full-sized THE WALLET is about a hair over 1/4 inch thick. When it's full, it's about 3/4 to an inch thick. It fits perfectly in my Carhartt jeans, with no side-to-side "wiggle-room".

Thanks,

Sounds about what I'm used to, at least in thickness.
How does the full-size fit in the left front pocket of non-jeans?

Might be a tad tight.
Fit's fine in my 5.11s though!

I couldnt imagine wearing mine in a front pocket , it would look silly as could be. Why do you want to wear it in your front pocket ?
I never really thought about it before but I'm noticing that a lot of folks prefer very very slim wallets or no wallet at all , me I am used to carrying a mini vault in my pocket and feel naked without it. I got a pretty little exotic leather wallet as a gift (and maybe a hint) from a girlfriend but it doesnt hold anything ! You can put a few bills and your liscense in it and thats about it... I guess maybe I could stuff that in my front pocket , but for what purpose ?
Wallets were made for back pockets and visa versa.
IMO :)

I have the Junior version.

I like it and have every expectation that it will last forever, but compared to previous wallets that I've used it is a bit broad and thick.

I used to be able to keep my wallet and cell phone in the same front pocket. Since I got the THE wallet this isn't really possible.

I personally wouldn't want to carry anything bigger, and am quite glad that I didn't get the full size version.

I sort of wish they made an even smaller "front pocket" version with the same construction and features.

This comes up now and again. i think a lot of us city kids carry them in a front pocket. It's harder for the pickpockets to get to it. :) And it's easier to sit on, because you're NOT sitting on it.

THE Wallet JR is a quality product. I would never order direct again (long wait) but wouldn't hesitate to purchase one from a reseller, like 1SKS. It is very satisfying to use a quality product like the JR, especially in today's world where everything seems to be Chinese imported junk. By the way, the JR can get uncomfortably thick. Discipline yourself from collecting every scrap of paper that comes around and you'll be all right. I clean the CC receipts out of mine regularly and don't collect people's business cards (I just program their info into my phone). Also, keep those pesky grocery store "value" cards to a minimum, choose the keyring version instead. I really like the James Bondish secret compartments too. Lots of room to tuck 50s and 100s away from view. The clear windows that usually cloud and crack on imported wallets stay perfectly clear and intact on the JR. Don't know what kind of material they use but it works. Overall quality is stunning and really shines with daily use.

I can't imagine pickpockets being a concern with the JR. It seems to sit too low in the pocket and has enough width to keep it plenty secure. Don't know about the full size version but the JR is about as pickpocket-proof as a rear pocket worn wallet can get, IMO.

I have been carrying the full size version for about three years now, and the only wear is on the eyelets. (Paint rubbed off)

It fills the back pocket of my Levi's, and would be difficult for a pickpocket to remove. It also rides very well in cargo shorts. it was a tight fit in my uniform pants.

If I ever have to replace it, I'll get the jr. version. Best damn wallet I've ever had, bar none.
