Very nice. I have seen 15n20 used to forge Damascus, how does it stand by itself as a carbon steel? Higher chromium content or some other element that makes it go well in Damascus?

15n20 is .88% carbon and gets its brightness in a damascus layup because of nickel in the alloy. I see some kitchen knives made with 15n20 because it is a hardenable steel with the high carbon content. Probably more stain and rust resistant than some other high carbon steels.
