Hi, guys!
Got a quick question for anyone who has the United Cutlery M48 Talon Survival Spear. I need the measurements for the length of the tang slot in the handle, the thickness of the tang, the width of the tang, the start of the tang to the center of the first bolt hole, and the distance between the center of both bolt holes. If anyone has one of those spears and has a moment, could you please do a quick measurement for me?
I've got one of the Cold Steel Warheads that I've been wanting to turn into a short spear...was going to do wood; but I'd really love to play around with a synthetic handle, just to see how they feel. I've got a couple of sources of plastic dowels bookmarked; but someone mentioned the UC spear; and I figured, it couldn't hurt to try it, if everything lines up okay. At a minimum, it would be much easier and relatively free from my capacity to screw it up!
Thanks so much!
