Specs & Weights of Swamp Rat, Busse & Scrap Yard Knives

Great list! I'll contribute what I can for the missing Busse stuff.

Thanks to all who contributed here. I refer to my hard-copy version several times per week. Has really assisted in my increasing knowledge on Busse-kins...Cheers.
 
Been measuring my SYKCO Mudd Mutt:

5.25" Blade + 5" Handle = 10.25" OAL
Blade is 1.25" wide = ~0.53" flat + 0.68 primary bevel + 0.040 edge bevel (on average).
Edge shoulder is 0.030" thick in the belly, 0.040 mid-sweep.

EDIT - one of mine weighs 5.95oz, so 6 oz is a nice round estimate.

My Yard Keeper CG weighs 6.2 ounces.

Per a request this evening I thought I would add this here:
My bruiser BT6 measures as follows:
11 3/4" OAL with a tip to handle blade length of 6 1/8" .215" thick at ricasso in front of handle.
It is a nice saber flat primary grind piece of INFI that weighs in at 16.3 oz with G10 handles.

This thread could use a lot of updating!

Your absolutly right elof. Who knows if DWRW is even still around and i thank him so much for taking the time and effort to put this thread together but with this thread being a sticky i, and hundreds of other members, would hope that several super mods could join forces like Voltron and revamp this baby. Fingers crossed is all i can hope for.

The following list is for reference purposes.

*** Please keep in mind some specs can and do sometimes vary a bit from knife to knife. Sometimes the same knife is released at different times with slightly different grinds, thickness or handle materials. I have tried to specify significant variations in grinds such as "Full Flat" vs. Saber grind - when and where relevant. But, even with essentially same grinds and "visible" appearance, weights can vary.

Typically, Busse and kin lengths per knife are VERY close and consistent. Most knife weights with same grinds and handle options are pretty consistent, but weights are more prone to variance than dimensions.

G10 is known to weigh more than micarta. Hand shaped scales, magnum scales and similar scale variations from Busse can cause weight variences, along with "Variant" grinds, etc.

Blade lengths are measured from end of handle material to blade tip.

Res-C handles typically have less handle material forward of the grip than micarta/G10 scales. So, handle shapes and sizes forward of the grip area affect measurements of "Reach" of the blade from the grip.

Looking this over, I see a few missing, like the tallywhacker. Probably need to update this with the new AD6 and FFG RMD specs

From my attempts, the yard has been down since around mid-year last year, maybe closer to fall, but it has been a good while now.
 
With the yard and swamp revived, could be a fun project for someone to get this page updated if they have the time.
