Hi,
I never thought I’d let this one go but I’m getting rid of the stuff that never gets used and this is just too nice for me to take afield.
Serial number puts this one solidly into 1951 production.
I received it from a collector that said it was unfired and over the years I put maybe 10-15 magazines through it, but, just to err on the side of caution, say 400 rounds.
It still has the “arch” attached to the mainspring housing that is normally lost to the years. The grips are in very good condition with no cracks, chips, or dents.
It still has the original 10rd magazine as well as another one that I bought several years ago.
There is some finish wear and minor marks, it’s 70 years old. I’d rate the finish at 95%. There are no dings, dents, or scratches in the metal, only the finish wear.
The trigger on these are a thing of beauty, I can’t describe how nicely Colt put these together. After this, your other triggers will feel cheap.
The 4.5 inch Match Target is the most rare of the Woodsman models. Far fewer were made than the 6.5 inch Match Target model. Compared to the production of the regular Woodsman pistols, the 4.5 Match Target is very rare. They fetch a premium on the auction sites of several hundred dollars more than I’m asking here.
I’m willing to entertain trades for items like Marfione, Microtech, Shirogorov, CRK, Carothers, Sinkevich, Sig MPX, Sig Legion Pistols, Sig Scorpion Pistols, Primary Weapons Systems ( PWS ) rifles or pistols, Freedom Arms, etc.
If you have an offer that I didn’t list that you think I may be interested in, let me know, the worst I’ll do is say no thank you.
Contiguous States only, and only where allowed by law. You are responsible for knowing the law, if you purchase the gun you are assuring me that you are abiding by the law and are legally allowed to own and possess the gun. Once a deal has been made and the gun shipped to your FFL of choice I am no longer involved in the matter. All responsibility falls on you to pass the background check and pay your FFL for the transfer.
I will ship it Insured, overnight for $SPF
Thank you for looking.
