Does anybody use the Spiderwire mono? I had bought a 220 yard spool of Spiderwire Super Mono EZ when i bought my new setup and loved it, but now the girlfriends reel and mine both needed spooling and the line came in a length of 350 yards and that's exactly how much both our reels needed combined. So i bought the Spiderwire Super Mono XXX and i've seen some crappy reviews on it. I have yet to fish it, but so far i see no hope. I was really hoping it would perform like the EZ stuff.

I have switched over to braid/Flouracarbon for the majority of my set ups.

My ultralight set ups are straight flouracarbon.

I have used Spiderwire EZ as well and had no complaints. My favorite mono was Trilene Sensation

Ive been using Triple Fish camoescent. Low memory , and the camoflauge pattern I believe works. Its draw back is to much stretch.

I was on a huge S.W. Fusion kick a few years ago. Great stuff on light tackel. Just take care when you tighten up the knots...the stuff will slice you like piano wire in a blink of an eye.

use it find out what it does and does not do for you, All fishing lines have pros and cons to them, just like knives find the ones that fit you

fire line with fluorocarbon leader material. For still bait fishing, I use any good monofilament line, Stren or Berkley and some tripple fish.

Spiderwire Super Mono XXX is the worst line I've ever bought. Jumps off the spool, birdsnests, and very brittle. Do not buy it. Like braided s[iderwire though.

This is an old thread but the new reformulated trilene xl is a fantastic line. It stays fresh on the reel and is tough and Its inexpensive .I have switched too it.

Fins braid and either heavy mono leader, or really light flouro, just for kicks and giggles on the light rig. Mono all the way on my surf setup. But I'm not a very good fisherman, so who knows.

Never tried it, I've fallen in love with braid for so many reasons.

I run spiderwire stealth braid in most situations with different length leaders depending on the application. Lately I've been using long fluorocarbon leaders tied directly to the braid with an albright special. I can run as long a leader as necessary because the knot casts nicely through guides.
