Hopefully this isn't the last picture I ever post here.

I'm 12mi from the coast and halfway up a "big" (for Rhode Island) hill. At the moment. Hopefully still here in the morning. With a roof etc. and most of the water on the outside.

I don't post from my phone, and probably won't waste precious battery life to do so. So if you don't hear for a bit, it's probably the expected power outage.

I hope your lid stays put!!!

I've had roof on the brain for 2 months, doing wood repairs now. Old nails don't hold so good after many years, so I saw fit to re-screw the whole thing, patching as needed. Getting close to inspection ready.
 
Well, the storm veered a tad west of me, but we still got a rather frightful blow. But it was a narrow swath. Lots of limbs and trees down in the "woods" next to my property. Watched some dramatic stuff. Power's still out. I've got a generator recharging the UPS with a laptop and phone plugged in right now. The fridge isn't behaving, so will re-plug that in another half hour or so.

Work (1st day of classes) was cancelled yesterday, but back on tomorrow, which is inconvenient. May go to my GF's house again tonight so I can shower again before spending all day in labs.

Glad things turned out ok for ya considering what could have been. Seeing what’s happened in Tennessee and elsewhere, it’s so sad. A lot folks need prayers and more .

Glad you're back up and running. It's the time of year things in the Gulf heat up so suddenly the Weather Report becomes extra important.
 
Can regular users not post images anymore? I've been trying to attach one for 20 minutes and nothing works.

I don't think regular users could ever upload. Send to an image host and then use a link.

Yeah, I have it on imgur. Just keeps giving me error messages when I try to attach it.

Yeah, I have it on imgur. Just keeps giving me error messages when I try to attach it like I've always done.

"Attaching" usually means you're trying to upload the whole content to the destination site. You want to paste the link/url only. You can use the compose widgets, or surround the URL in <IMG> and </IMG> tags, but using square brackets instead of > <.
