I don't see an all-black Native5 with black DLC PlainEdge blade on page 26 of the catalog.

There are two new Native5 LW folders both with LC200N steel in PlainEdge and SpyderEdge with yellow FRN (page 55 of the catalog).

In 2017 Cutlery Shoppe had two exclusive Native5 LW folders one of which has a black DLC PlainEdge blade of s90V and all black hardware.

Shaman is s90v and carbonfiber via sal.

Dlt was talking about a micarta scales and a bunch of other steel types, so guessing they will have one too after the s90v and cf. https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/wheres-the-shaman-buzz.1531981/page-2#post-17602061

I'm hoping knife works will carry the tradition and make one in m4+cf... But at this point only time will tell.

I'm sure we'll see Sprints/Exclusives of the Shaman in 2018. In the meantime, we'll probably see regular production models of the Shaman with black DLC blade (PlainEdge and SpyderEdge) before then.

At the bottom of the page are the specs for the black LW, and it shows all 3 edge types: P, PS, S.
Isn't "P" for plain edge? Another member pointed this out earlier or I never would have noticed it.

I see that now. It's easy to overlook. For the satin they have the pictures but not for DLC. Added Native5 CPM-S35VN Black DLC PlainEdge Black FRN to the upcoming list.

Thanks RamZar, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I've been hoping for this configuration of the Native 5 and it may finally become a reality.

Maybe Sal will chime in and confirm or deny?

Compositionally it's very different from M4. Almost no alloys in V-Toku2. It's a lot more like ZDP-189 than M4, though ZDP has way more carbon and chromium than V-Toku2.

What ever happen to the para 3 in maxamet? That was a 2017 knife. I figured it wouldn’t sell because the cru wear para 3 came out first and for a lot less $.
