Knife Joy announced an upcoming exclusive on Facebook today. It is a Smock with black G10 and 20CV. Looks like a winner to me!

KnifeJoy Smock 20CV Black G-10 $175!

Basically, the same production Smock for $175 but substituting a better and more expensive steel (20CV vs. S30V) and a cheaper handle material (G-10 vs. CF/G-10). Something different at a comparable price is not a bad thing.

Man this Rex45 Lil' Native wait is killing me!

On the plus side... Since all the other Rex45 knives released first, maybe that'll give all those who want one a little extra time to snag the Lil' Native.

Sorry, you are correct. I got ahead of myself there. In any case, I am happy to see this as I love the steel and I am not a fan of CF/G10 laminate. Can't help but feel this should be the standard Smock.

I suppose but no value added to me and it doesn't fix the "sharp vertical leading edge of the choil" design that I personally consider a "problem."

This is nearly the exact conversation i had with my friend. I told him to do a blade swap between smocks and then pair up the cf/20cv version with the watu! But either way, people are customizing this knife like crazy, im waiting for a smock 2.0.
