i just ordered one of these, how come nobody sees to mention them, i thought this would be a pretty popular one as the prices on these are not that high either

They do get mentioned from time to time and the opinions are usually positive.
I have a high opinion of mine.

I wasn't a fan of how thin the blade is - while I'm aware that it's a gentleman's folder and not a tank, it still bothered me enough that I parted with it. I'll probably pick up a ZDP Endura at some point, however.

It ranks in my top 3 knife picks alongside the Sebenza and Umnumzaan. Thin, light, and with a long enough blade to do pretty much anything you would need to do with a folding knife. Unobtrusive enough not to raise an eyebrow in more polite settings, and it won't shred your pocket over time either.

The normal Caly 3.5 was my first high quality knife. They're great knives, with great ergonomics, great blade shape, great blade to handle ratio, and super easy to carry. I would definitely like to get the zdp189/carbon-fiber version.

That is my favorite ZDO knife from Spyderco at this point. It's very well made and it doesn't freak people out when you use it in public. Classy folder, great price, and it holds a great edge.

I just picked up a Caly 3 in carbon fiber and ZDP and I'm very impressed. I'm sure the 3.5 is just as good. Very well built, as usual, by Moki for Spyderco...:cool:

The positive things that others have said; I concur. Further more, I find that the Caly is one do the best looking knives out there. The lines are very elegant.
Low weight, flat handle and unobtrusive clip makes for close to a perfect EDC knife.

I have mine for several years, love it. It's light and feels little bit flimsy but it's a great gent's folder,
takes very sharp edge and holds it long, I will probably convex the edge as I did with my Mcusta.
I find it to be very elegant design, but I could be wrong... :D

If anybody has a Caly 3.5 and a Native 5, I would really love some comparison pictures. Mainly I'd like the main grip areas compared (not the choils included)

Here's a pic for you. Both G-10, but the dimensions are obviously the same. I had a ZDP Stretch and chipped the blade cutting a zip tie on my daughter's Christmas gift a few years ago. I ended up trading it and haven't had a ZDP blade since. Might try one out again someday though.

Awesome, thank you! Do you find the main area of the 3.5's handle more spacious? If the Native 5 had a slight bit more length it'd be more comfortable.

Luv my Caly 3.5 ... in VG10 and G10.

I luv my other Spydercos in ZDP-189 but the laminate on the Caly scratches too easily. (Why does ZDP need a laminate in the first place???)

Also the Caly's Carbon Fiber handle feels too slick for me. Much prefer the G10 over CF.

It isn't really bigger at all, but the 3.5 is more spacious to me for sure. It may be because the main handle choil's radius is less, therefore, the hand seems to grip closer to the blade (not using the forward finger choil grip)...hope that makes sense.

Yeah I think I know what you're saying. I had a Caly 3.5, but not recent enough with having the Native 5 to be able to compare. Thanks!
