Spyderco cricket frame lock question

Hey all,

I just got a spyderco cricket, my first spydy frame lock. I absolutely love it. The lockup is rock solid, and also nice and early, leaving plenty of room for wear.

My question is in the closed position, the lock bar is not completely flush with the upper part of the handle scale. It protrudes a Milemeter or two. I figured it’s likely the detent ball leaning the lock bar over slightly. Also it’s very new and has an early lockup whilst open. As well, this is the opposite problem I’ve had with other frame locks that rub against the blade causing drag.

I can’t see this affecting the lockup as it locks up rock solid in open position. I just wanted to know some thoughts!

Thanks
