Spyderco Forum problem

I was a bit surprised at how many posts and how long it took to have them approved when I first joined (a few took several days and I too had to send a few PM's to other members that where waiting for responses from me). That said it is quite active and probably the best place for Spyderco info.

Sal, have you considered having one or two of the regulars over there having basic moderator ability to approve new member posts?

Yea worked out for all of us

Who would want to be there? lol

That's why it's dead. No one new would ever join

The owner is on another site fixing the mistakes made on theirs, hahaha

We would all be better off it didn't exist. What a giant dump

B BigWillie if you want to start a thread about this subject I'd recommend the Whine & Cheese subforum, which is where folks go to blow off steam or otherwise tell it like it is. :) You should try it, I bet you'll get a lot of authentic discussion![/QUOTE]
Something tells me B BigWillie is already familiar.

Hi BBturbodad,

Our main moderator has had some serious personal family issues lately. Mike and I are the other moderators and we have been travelling. We really haven't had any complaints and the forum in general is a friendly place with some really smart passionate knife afi's. I think Willie should give it another try, but he'll have to be civil, if he can?

sal

The customer forum for where i work is 105% modded by staff from the company who all have day jobs. We've had to switch on the flood control and approve new posts to be visible. As a rule I turn folks rights on immediately but if we let people post in he clear from the word go our spot would be submerged in porn links, fake Euro passports, torrent sites, faux Viagra and worse, it's a drag but until the spammers can be locked out there's nothing else that can be done.

Is there a reason you were banned?

Yup this was exactly my experience. TERRIBLE

I'm pretty sure it was bigwillie...If it wasn't the one post I have should be there it was like a day before I joined this forum

I wouldn't even be here if they let me post, i just wanted to make a stink about a PM2 with an axis lock. And hopefully either have them say yes or say "nah doesn't work in that profile" or "nah no axis lock f u"

Any of those 3 I would have been content with, well had some sort of closure anyway.

Getting just banned before I even had a chance to get a response pissed me off.

I didn't start the thread

I like how you're backing off now that it's even more obvious how terrible this is

Few days of bigwillie in your lives and i'm fixing this for you. God I'm good

edit - i do not understand why it it specifically not letting me quote you correctly when it does it in one button for everyone else. So imma leave it and pretend it's not my fault

That's because everyone wants to get on their knees for you because they love your knives

I don't have that problem

The fact people are whining on this site where others trade should tell you it's a problem.

Where exactly do you think you're going to hear this feedback? Should I ahve called spyderco to let you guys know? Find you on twitter? lol

Just random dudes chiming about how terrible it is.....

Now go try to respond
It has already been explained that your first few posts will be moderated. Happens to everyone. Not a big deal to most people. Shrug it off and continue about your life instead of spouting hate and frustration. It’s quite simple.
