The Hanan is a beautifully made little knife from Spyderco, but the one bad thing about the stock version is that the detent is terribly soft.
Instagram user and ultra-fine knife collector hairlesstwinky did the detent mod. Here's a description of his process: "You just have to take a ball diamond burr on a dremmel and open up the detent hole on your blade. Get it deep enough where your lock bar is pretty much touching the blade. Then you pop the detent ball out of the locking liner and reset it. Try to get it only half of the ball in instead of just 2/3 like from factory. If you need more tension, bend your lock bar a bit more."
The result is a firm detent that flips beautifully. This knife has pretty good centering (though not absolutely perfect), great lockup, falls shut, and represents the best Spyderco fit and finish out there. A couple very light scratches on the blade from use, but nothing very noticeable.
