Carried my Ikuchi earlier this week and noticed what appears to be flecks of rust on the blade in various spots. Knife is a light user at work that occasionally opens a package or my cut up lunch now and again.

Basically the same treatment that all of my rotation knives get during the week. Anyway, have never had any of them develop rust spots.

Was curious if anyone has had this same problem with S30V or the Ikuchi? Mine is the CQI version and it's a big winner over the first go around with this design.
 
I've seen rust spots on S30V, but not often.
Hard to say what goes on with pocket carry. S30V is definitely vulnerable to salt or other corrosion promoters. (Less than some, more than others.) Subtle difference in surface finish can make a difference between knives, too.
