I was looking at their website to see if I could find any that interested me, and it seemed like there were so many configurations of one model, and then so little difference from model to model, that nothing stood out. The Delica, Endura, Military, Para-Military all looked roughly the same to me but just with slight differences here and there.

What are some of the more unique Spyderco knives? I like the Atlantic Salt for the nice flat blade, but then the Pacific Salt seems to have nearly the same blade style as the rest of the knives I mentioned. The Manix2 has a different blade shape, but then there seem to be a lot of other models that are similar to the Manix.

Also, what kind of locks do Spyderco knives have? Do they all have that back-lock?

The Spyker they did with Kershaw is a unique model. Email me if you want to see pics, or are interested in it.

You can check out the Spyderco Sub Forum for more information on all your questions, but spyderco uses MANY types of locks for their knives.

Back lock, Frame lock, Liner lock, Compression lock, Ball Bearing lock, Phantom lock, and few other unique locks.

Many Spyderco's use similar "Leaf" shaped blades, because they are functional and work.

Before posting any type of thread looking for a particular knife, in this case you want "unique", what is it that you are wanting to use the knife for?

The Spyderco Civilian has a unique blade. ;]

The remote release is pretty unique with a quick attachment sort of mechanism.:

Then the spyderco assist 1 is also very interesting. It had a large orange frn handle with finger grooves, with a signaling whistle and glass breaker. It had a 'cobra hood' that serves as a thumb ramp and also makes opening the blade easier. Very cool in my opinion and not like alot of knives out there:

Then there are alot of crazy self defence designs. Along with all the sprint runs I would say the spyderco line has alot of diversities.

My favorites are the Manix 2, the stretch, Gayle Bradley, Caly3, and the Sage series. They all seem a little different from each other and are my favorite designs.

their ethnic Schempp designed series has some of the coolest shapes I've ever seen
I only have the Kris & Barong, can't wait for the new Persian to hit the market

here is the Kris

generally buy spyderco's for it's super quality AND trademark "hole in the blade".
guess when you take a good hard look at 'em,
it's like one super extended family tree with blade shapes of varying lengths and widths!
the hole in the blade is what makes spyderco folders highly unique and easily distinguishable from all other known makes.
i think you'll soon realize that spyderco's were made to function like no other.
and that's why one can't help but notice the set blade shape, year after year.
more importantly, the blade has to have a triangular side profile in order to feature that "hole" on the top.
this set continuity imo, defines the very mark of spydeco's excellence.
there is nothing worse than seeing a productline which doesn't reflect the continued progression of a set design ideal.
this is why spyderco is very highly proficient in what they have produced.
