I am torn between the Persian and spyderco stretch .. I really like the looks of the Persian but the Stretch seems more like a user ... I also like the vg-10 on the stretch . I did a serch and it seems the persian aint gonna be easy to come by .. any one know If I would be able to still get this ... which of the 2 would you chose ?
Thanks !:D

Just wondering which Persian are you talking about: C83 Persian (large) or C105, 75 mm Persian (small)?

Personally, I love Persians. I EDC C83 every day for more than three years. I carry C105 on weekends, along with C83. I used to have original Stretch, but never warm up to this blade and sold it.
But it is me.
Stretch and 75 mm Persian are quite different blades. All depends on your needs and preferences. C105 is classy gents knife. Great ergos, great cutting tool, probably will satisfy 95% needs of average person. Also looks great. Made by Moki, so fit and finish are outstanding. Action is little tight at the beginning, but after a little while will be smooth. The knife is discontinued, but most of the large on-line dealers still have it. IMHO C105 Persian more suite for office or dress-up environment. You do not want to beat-up this knife.
Stretch has full flat grind 3.5" blade, great ergos. Good EDC, if 3" blade feels too short. Can take quite a beating.

I just seen reviews of the stretch on youtube and the guy was saying it was like perfection ,,, and it was the perfect shape size and weight bla bla bla .. So I wanted to try it ,, but then i seen the persian and really like the looks of that knife .. .. I have my eye more on the persian at this point .. I goggled it and the first few shops said that it was outta stock . So yeah I think i want the persian ! I guess it will be a user .. Light stuff like rope tape bags boxes .. aint going to cut no trees down with it :)

+1 on everything Roman said.

Stretch offers 4 way clip mounting, full flat grind, 14mm Spyderhole, choice of CF or FRN handles, choice of VG-10 or ZDP-189 steel on the FRN verison, and choice of plain, serrated or combo edge on the VG-10/FRN version.

I haven't had the opportunity to handle a stretch yet but I love my Persian. I work in an office and rotate it in a few days a week. She's a real pretty knife and one of the sharpest I own right out of the box. But like someone else said you'll probably end up with both if you frequent the forum

I had the mini persian for a bit...thought it was beautiful, great blade, cool design...and just fit my hand terribly Away she went in favor of the Sage 2...perfect! :)

My favorite is the Persian. I couldn't decide between the Stretch or the large Persian so I bought both. I bought a second Persian for my son because he was impressed with mine.

The stretch's grip is thinner with a DP style blade and has a thinner blade. I use my Stretch for food prep and fishing. The Persian has a thicker grip and found it more comfortable for work. I liked the up swept point for peircing fish's bellies, and cutting into knotted rope. Unfortunately I lost it in the ocean climbing steel pilings at work. I previously mentioned I lost 5 or 6 Spydercos in the water. I wish I could find another larger Persian at a reasonable price.

Both are great users!
