Spyderedge honing

I’m wondering if anyone knows the correct size sharpening files or rods for a Pacific Salt with Spyderedge.

I have used the corners of the fine (white) stones on the sharpmaker with good results. Do about 7-10 strokes on the grind side and then 1-2 on the other.

I’ve been looking at the Sharpmaker. I have a wicked edge but I’d love a SM as well. They seem pretty inexpensive.

I really, really enjoy my Gauntlet...my most favorite sharpening system <not counting the Benchstones, which I consider the single best overall sharpening product> ever made by Spyderco. :thumbsup:

I can't believe more ELU's aren't shouting from the rooftops about the utility of the cat's eye rods plus the extra draw length they offer....

Hi RSL,

I would recommend using the Sharpmaker, fine stone corners, sharpen as the video recommends. I believe that will give you the best performance.
