I bought a pair of Danner Patrol boots about 2 weeks ago. They are great boot, but there's one problem. They squeak. Every step I take, every movement I make with my feet, they squeak or creak.
How can I rid my boots of this problem?

Is the squeaking coming from the soles of the boot as they come in contact with the floor/pavement/ground or from within the boot itself? If you have Vibram Kletterlift soles on your boots, they squeak on polished floors. Are the boots broken in already?

Greg, they are in the process of being broken in.
I have used Danner Boot Dressing on them, and worn them for about 2 weeks now. The squeaking is coming from the leather portion of the boots.
The soles are Vibram, but they don't seem to squeak so much on floors.

Phillip, if they squeak a lot, that's not tactical.

If they still do that after you're satisfied that they should have already been broken-in, you may consider getting a warranty replacement. Does only one boot squeak or do both of them squeak?

Greg, again thanks for the info. Well according to one of the Sgts. at my department, they will squeak until they are broken in. It's been almost 3 weeks now, but I guess since I have been driving a desk, the boots are not getting much use. :(
I will take your advice and if the offending noise continues, I will send them in for replacement. I can't play ninja in squeaky boots. :D

I own three sets of Danner hunting boots and they all squeaked until they were thoroughly broken in.

Get 'em wet.Good and wet.And wear 'em.When they dry they'll be stiff. When they soften up they'll be quiet.
