Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

Only stag I own at the moment ...

Here's Stag in a little different way - a longtime rehandling project.

In 2008 I bought one out of eight small Ptarmigan Stag Crown hunters by Bark River.
I had a hard time trying to get used to this kind of upswept blade and I could never warm up to the style.
This has bugged my mind ever since and I tried a differrent assembly of the stag by turning it 90 degrees to the right.

It helped but not much, so I took off the Crown and instead I put on a piece of Moose antler.
This did the trick and the knife finally works in my hand.
That left me with a premium small Stag Crown, not knowing what blade to use for it.
Until recently.

The Ultra-Lite Hunter 2 with a drop-point is more to my liking than the upswept tip of the Ptarmigan.

Right now I'm in the process of assembly the Crown on the UL2 blade and here is the project this Stagurday.

The Ptarmigan at the top and the UL2 waiting for the Epoxy + final finishing.

Thanks to today's posters for showing especially stellar stag today!:thumbsup::cool:
(Or maybe I'm just easily impressed because I didn't get here until almost 7pm and I'm worn out.)

The only stag I carried this week is this JJ Martinez ciervo navaja de campaña:
