Stag Saturday - Let's See Some Traditional Stag!

Nice stag, guys!
Some pretty stag on this 1980s Case Small Game Knife.

If a knife can be sexy that qualifies.

Do you have any idea when it was made? I don't have my Goins handy so I can't look up GG Solingen. What is on the tang of the master blade?

It's a Gerbruder Grafrath Solingen, 1878 - present per Goins, though the firm went out of business in 1961 and may have been revived under Kuno Ritter of Solingen (see also Hubertus), Thanks for the nice comment. I, too, like the use of the stag.

Great Stag today!

The Stag Crown showed last week is now epoxied and in the final stages of shaping & polishing.
Here with the rest of my collection of small Sambar Stag Crowns.

Crowns can be either very easy to work with or extremely challenging, to turn into a good handle due to the natural shapes of Stag.

Here an older pic of the Crowns, showing the curves that has to be negotiated with.

To me Crowns are a fascinating aspect of the knifehobby.
