I know there are a bunch of you who love the Steampunk look. Did that love influence your choice of buying a new knife? Or did you get one customized with the Steampunk feel in mind and it turned out great? Show off what you have if you think it fits the look and feel in your mind.

I'll start off by showing my Gavko Small Mako that completely reminds me of The Nautilus submarine.

I love steampunk knives.

Marcinek...utterly preposterous... MONSTERS...inventions of a madman.
But...there is some transient beauty that lurks within those gears, whistles, steampipes...that hints of a master who unified a mass of gunk into one glorious creation.
Or...so it seems.

Not my cup of tea ("steampunk" in general isn't either), but they certainly do embrace the steampunk aesthetic.

Depends how ridiculously over the top you want to go with steampunk. I think that if you want to go with bit more subtle style, a slipjoint of any kind goes well and traditional fixed blades.

It was so kooky and different I had to get a pair,i saw it from another member who posted his in the knives and coffee thread..

Some of Serge's knives, the guy who made the Spyderco Dogtag, are quite steampunk looking.

I guess it depends how far you like it, I do not know if it is steampunk, but I like the old brass advertising knives with a company's name and cool designs. That is about as metallic as I can go. Although I do like a CR knife with carving on it.

You are really all correct on the aesthic of the style. Some are over the top and some are more subtle. I started the thread to see all of them and what it means to you. Don't be afraid to post a pic of a production knife too! There are many out there that fit right in like the CRKT Van Hoy Snap Lock and it's side folding mechanism!

Holy cow TRML !!!! I have never seen anything like those!! absolutely stunning . !

Most have no idea the time and effort involved in stuff like this. the detail is just amazing. are these objects you will sell or just for your own enjoyment?
