I came across this knife while surfing the Frost Cutlery site, and thought that it looks quite amazing. Does anyone have any experience with this brand, or this knife in particular? The price seems low for such an elaborate piece (18-19$.), so I wonder how the fit and finish is. I haven't heard of them before, and can't find this knife anywhere else.

I'm going to say, based on the fact that its Frost Cutlery, you get about $18.00 worth of knife. They are a brand that use "Surgical Stainless Steel" which is 440a if you're lucky. The heat treat, if there is one, will be about a 52Rc. The pretty adornments will be cast tin, and glued on.

I would GUESS that this would be a great wall hanger, not much of a using piece.

The adornments looks like they are etched out of whatever material the handle is; same with the blade.

You get what you pay for! ;)

Well, yeah, but I was wondering if the production model actually looks like that, if the "art" can be scratched off or not, and if the fit and finish is decent.

I just bought a Steel Warrior One Arm Razor. It is on a standard trapper model with a pen blade and a large razor shaped blade. Still in the box and I've had no chance to do anything with it except to check initial edge and the "walk-n-talk". Both were pretty good. But I agree with the 440A blade steel, and the hit and miss heat treatment. With only $6.95 invested though, I figure it will make a decent letter opener to keep next to the computer for cutting chores I deign too beneath my other knives!:D
