looking for a new pair of compacts. Bass Pro is running these for 99.99, next week. I know they are not near the quality of there German made glass. Found some reviews were they were mostly liked. Anyone on here, have any hands on with them. Thanks tim.

Steiners are very solid binocs. I have two pair and they are great values in working glass. My Leica's are a little better, but given the huge price difference, they better be.

I have used there higher priced models. I am interested in how a 100.00 pair of Steiner's compare.

with the pocket types, it will boil down to eye relief.

i bought a pair of steiner 8x22's sight unseen having already owned a pair of 8x30's.

i couldn't get them focused and ended up using them as a prize in a forum giveaway. so, i guess i couldn't really say if the optics were good since i could only see fuzzy images. but i have no reason to suspect they are not the same or similar quality of their more expensive sets.

and if you haven't already, look through a set of 10x's. i find them extremely difficult to hold still without a rest.
