I’ve been playing with the idea of carrying a smaller blade when camping and here is one I finished today. It is a nice handy size and shape and a little bit stout but not overly so IMHO. I did start with 1/4in 5160 but by tapering the tang and the blade, I got the weight down to 6-7oz. The scales are green canvas Micarta. I sculpted the scales and then scalloped them for texture. It’s very secure but not rough on the hand. Overall it is 9 1/2in with a 4 7/8in blade tip to handle.
