Strange Daryl Dixon knife from Season 5 Walking Dead

Season 5 episode 16. Saw this before the premier last night. Happens about 35 min. into the episode. Looks like a copy of a Team Gemini with holes in it and metal handle scales.

It's a copy. Busse and the crew know about it. The company even had a display for these knives. Lame.

why the hell would anyone make a cheap copy of something if they already had the damn original.. unless somebody swiped it for personal use... I thought the scales just fell off last year and had been lightened didn't realize they have a chinese knockoff
 
that looks REALLY bad. there is alot of cheap junk knives out there but that thing looks like they tried to make it look like garbage.
 
It made me really sad when I saw Daryl with that knife. Does anyone know if its the producers trying to make a buck or some other reason why they chose that blade?

I think the best part of all is: "A tribute to the Busse Combat Team Gemini" Man that feels like a slap in the face...
 
I remember Daryl losing his knife when they got captured at Terminus. I figured the knife he's carried since last season was something he hobbled together with scrap metal to replace it. Basically something that would fit into the sheath he had. That "Blood Diamond" certainly looks the part! lol
