Subcom - Magnum vs Boker Plus

My dad liked my Subcom so much, I gave it to him. I did some shopping on the 'net for a replacement (dunno why, just gonna go to Mrs. Los Banos' ebay store) and found some Subcoms with a Magnum box and no Boker Plus blade stamp. Others had the usual Boker Plus stamp. Are the Magnums the earlier production runs before Boker Plus was formed? Or vice versa? Too many Chinese reproductions of everything on the planet make me skeptical nowadays. /sigh

I feel better knowing the next purchase or two will be from Chads wife.

The Magnums were the first production, before we made the Boker Plus line.
You might want to look and see if they are the AUS8, or the 420
version, as well.

Hi Terry, & Chad..
I had picked up a subcom as well that Has No boker plus stamp on blade,
It is only stamped magnum aus8 Taiwan and of course CLB design on other side
So I began to research this and came to this thread/posting, Which Terry had said it's is an earlier version.. and reading this answered one question.., and then opened another question..
My Question, What is the difference of aus8 and the 420 version that Terry speaks of?
is one an more earlier version of the two or just blade steel difference?, Or both?
Just trying to gain knowledge of what I have..
Thanks if you can jump in...
