What’s up blade fam? So I’ve been into knives most my life, but really as a hobby for the past three years or so. I tend to gravitate towards fidgety titanium folders, which has lead me to knives on bearings more often than not. For reference, I carry a Freeman 451 BLF more often than not.
However, I recently picked up a TAD Dauntless Mk3 on “bronze bushings,” and I cannot put the damn thing down! It’s the first knife I’ve owned that gives credence to the term “glassy”. I immediately swapped my triway Halftrack to washers, but it’s just not the same. What are some suggestions you guys have for folders with that sweet glassy washer action? Thanks in advance!!!

I deduce that you are a millennial since fidgeting is high on your list. I like CRKs even though they don't "fall shut" as your generation requires. So Chinese-made knives like the Kizer Begleiter Mini (or full size) may be exactly what you want. It is very fidgety. sold mine but here is a photo. Mine cost $135ish and it has an M390 blade, full titanium scales and milled Ti clip.

A broken in Spartan Harsey SHF will give you this same experience, and there are a lot of different designs available.
This^^

My TSF Gorgon is probably the smoothest I own and it’s on washers. Follow that with my Grayman Satu after I smoothed out the washers on an ultra fine ceramic.

I don't care for that kind of assumption, but according to his profile he's 38 therefore a millenial so you are correct. However, I am gen X and fidgeting is a big thing to me, as I've stated before. It helps me with all my mental illness crap. I don't think stuff like that is necessarily generational. My father loved the switchblade I gave him, and was always messing with it.

My TSF Beast was really smooth too. It was just way too thick behind the edge for me so I sold it.

HoserEhCuervo HoserEhCuervo If you can find a Three Sisters Forge Beast or Gorgon, they do have a really smooth action, though the blades are thicc bois.

IMG_6877.jpegThis. Civivi Bo. Paid 29.99 on sale at BHQ. See it now listed at $34.99.
John 😁

Les George…I have a button lock VECP and a frame lock ESV and they both have great fun action on washers.
Agreed, Les George has the best action on washers imo. I’d also recommend his MK3 that will blow you away and is hard to believe it’s washers and not bearings!

FWIW, I know Skiff bearings get a lot of hype, but the Skiff fat washers for Hinderer triway replacement have turned my Eklipse into positively the glassiest knife I have ever felt. And because they're so thick I think I trust them more than normal thickness washers on a knife without the triway milling. It's really something else.

Also the MBK Sea Otter has washer action that's right up there with the best I've handled.

Oh and I’ll try to track down some of those thick skiff washers too! I hadn’t even heard of those. They appear to be sold out atm, but I’ll definitely keep an eye out for them going forward. Much appreciated!!

Awesome stuff, thanks everyone! I had been hoping to track down a Les George Mk 3 already based on its pattern alone. So that’s going to the top of the list. That, a SHF, and a Sea Otter, both of which I did not know were on washers until today. Very cool.
Excellent choice, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll keep my eye out for ya. Good luck with your search! Let us know your thoughts when you score one.

The Demko 20.5 is pure fidgety fun. Not terribly expensive either around $124.99 for a model in AUS-10. I kinda regret moving mine along.

Definitely a thick blade but fun to use.
