So I am a major sucker for sunsets and pretty much anything that has to do with the sky. I love to pull over to the side of a random country road and watch the sky. It's always fun at night too (I've seen some questionable things :) ) A couple of weeks ago I was grocery shopping and for some reason the whole store had a pink tint to it. I walked outside and what I saw literally took my breath away.

This was at the beginning of the storm rolling in. . .

Here is about five minutes later.

These are the best pictures I have taken of a sunset so far. The Iphone is remarkable!

So are there other's like me out there? You don't see many people stop what they are doing to enjoy the little things. . . You get so wrapped up with life you don't pay attention to the natural beauty around you.

If you have any pictures of Sunsets or storms or anything related, I would LOVE to see them.

Thanks guys

Pokey, if you think that's awesome, and it is, you need to talk Boss Hog into doing another knife show in Alaska so you can see our sunsets. Guaranteed to blow your socks off.

I love your sunset pictures but your UFO stories are way more entertaining. lol. :D

NICE shot's, Pokey! I'm also a sucker for a great sunset. Used to take drives west into Lancaster County all the time with a like-minded friend for what we referred to as "chasing the sunset" cruises. :D

Nice pics, thanks for sharing them. My favorite part of the day, Twilight.

I went to Arches National Park in Utah a couple months ago, it was storming pretty much the whole time we spend there. Here's a shot of what it looked like once we got into the Park.......

A couple shots of some of the first formations we stopped at.

The next formation we stopped to see was Balanced Rock.

It was pretty crazy because before we even parked, I realized that I had done a painting of this formation in my high school art class. I found a photo of this depicted in National Geographic and thought it looked cool so I ended up doing a watercolor painting of it.

It turned out to be my favorite painting that I've ever done, but couldn't remember what/where it was I had painted.

The weirdest part was that I took a photo that is almost identical to what I painted, it even had similar stormy clouds in the background. Strange indeed, I wish I could show the painting to you right now but it is in my portfolio which is buried in a Michigan basement right now.

Then we hiked up to Delicate Arch which is probably the most famous arch in the world.

By the time we made it up there the rain had started and the wind gusts made it feel like you were gonna fly off the top. I was pretty uncomfortable after spending a few minutes up there, so we headed back down as the last thing I wanted to do was get caught in a flash flood in dangerous terrain on the way back down.

Here's a shot of Skyline Arch, still raining (it's a good thing I brought my Gore-Tex jacket....;))

Tunnel Arch was interesting, it was overcast in the background but perfectly clear sky when you looked through the arch.

Pine Tree Arch was possibly my favorite in the park.

As soon as we decided to leave the storm clouds had left and it was a beautiful day from there on out...... :)

I love watching the sunset, it never fails to impress. Here are a few of the ones that I've taken.

Went through my Flickr acct looking for some sunset and sky pics. Here are a couple from my old rooftop in Brooklyn; I used to keep a lawn chair up there and watch the sun set every night:
